? Travel Limit the volume of liquid on flights.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) demanded a limit on the volumn of liquid that can be carried in passenger's hand-luggage.
According to Article 61 of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, Vietnamese air carriers have taken measures to ensure absolute safety for passengers and flights.

Under the new regulations, as of December 1, 2007, bottles containing liquid of more than 0.1L will not be allowed in carry on luggage. The capacity of every bottle or vial containing liquid must not exceed 100ml. All bottles and containers must be tightly sealed and kept in transparent plastic bags. The types of banned liquid consist of beverage, foods, cosmetics and medicine.

  • The beverages are fresh water, wine, soft drinks, fruit juice, milk, condensed milk, yoghurt.
  • The foods include fish sauce, soya sauce, soup, cooking oil, etc.
  • The banned cosmetics are skin nourishing cream, perfume, hair spray, shampoo, shower cream, foam, etc.
  • The medicine includes nose sprays, cough syrup, balm, ointmetn, body spray, etc. If passengers bring medicine, they must present the prescriptions, with the names of the prescribles clearly shown. The names of the persons using the medicine must coincide with the names of the patients on the prescription.

Baby food and items bought at the free duty shops at the airport will be allowed in carry-on luggage.
If passengers bring any liquid that exceeds the regulated volume, they must store it in their registered luggage or dispose of it before going through the scanner
